Yes yes I tend to turn towards fan fictions once a series of whatever I really enjoy ends. This has only happened twice in my life so far though. And the funny thing is, I begin to get more into the details of the original characters after I’ve read a few dozen Fanfictions. (What I mean is that , I begin to learn little things about characters who I knew little about before. Not personality wise, considering how fanfictions are hardly accurate. But what I mean is, let’s just say I could hardly remember most of the character’s full names before..)
Anyways, back to the topic at hand. I first started to get into Fanfictions when I was in grade 5 or 6 I believe. Oh, I lied. I would get into fanfiction even before the series is over. Now, my first fanfictions were Inuyasha ones. I can proudly say that I’ve pretty much read all the good ones out there. (The really well written ones are few and far inbetween.) Most are just overused themes such as “Kagome caught Inuyasha with Kikyou again. Blah blah blah” Did I mention, I ship SessKag?
Not that I really believe them to be the perfect couple or anything. (The original Kagome is more immature over dramatic than anything else really.. ) They’re just quite an interesting couple. Now this fandom lasted… A good 10 years considering how I’m in my second year of University at the moment. ( And it is still continuing on, no worries. I’m just waiting for more good stories to be written before I get back to my search)
For the mean time. I have turned to Harry Potter. I think the reason I didn’t turn towards this fandom earlier (in terms of fanfiction) is because I didn’t think I could deal with all the spells and english names. See with Inuyasha, most of them don’t have last names ! And their skills are hardly anything to remember. I mean, some of them don’t even have names. But you know what? I think I surprised myself and got used to it after a while. At first, I had to always have “Harry Potter Wiki” open in another tab in order for me to reference back and check the background story of thing. But I’m proud to say, I believe I can handle it not. A lot of the fanfictions are quite far fetched and the characters are OOC (out of character) but needless to say, there are more good HP ones than Inuyasha ones out there. Probably become it came from a book. Oh and just for your extra information, I ship dramione. No it doesn’t mean I ship Tom Felton and Emma Waston. (I don’t even like how Sesshoumaru and Kagome looks in the original Manga. The artwork is horrid) I’ve got my own little versions of the Characters running around in my head. That’s why I really don’t appreciate the bad photoshop works floating around of dramione. -shudders-
